Check-in allows clients to notify staff when they arrive for their appointment. Clients receive an SMS reminder with a message telling them to reply with “1” when they arrive, which will then notify staff that the client has arrived for their appointment.
How to set it up
Check-in notifications are configurable in Company Settings. Admins can choose if check-in SMS messages are sent, and how far in advance of the appointment start time are they sent. Coconut recommends sending check-in notifications 30 minutes before the appointment start time.
Admins can also choose how staff are notified when the client checks in. The notification is always delivered to the Notifications Bell in Coconut, and they can choose to send an SMS to staff. The staff SMS is sent to the mobile phone number entered in the staff profile.
How to use it
The client receives SMS notification to check in, then sends “1”.
Staff receives a notification in Coconut Notifications. They may optionally receive it to their mobile phone through SMS if configured by the admin and staff has a mobile phone number in their profile.
