Having a variety of listed Services helps you identify the purpose of your clients’ visit while allowing staff to understand their needs before they come in. It also ensures that only a staff member qualified to give that service will be assigned to that appointment. In addition, it is a great way to showcase what your business has to offer.
Managing Service Options
Administrators use the Services tab to add, edit or archive Services and Service Categories. Service Categories group services together to organize service options under a category header to make it easier for your clients to browse.
You can change the Duration of the appointments based on the type of service. Buffer time can be set to automatically add a selected amount of time to the end of each appointment to allow for some extra time between appointments.
You can change the Visibility of a service to control what services are available for clients to book through the client view:
• You can set a service as Public to allow clients to always be able to book the service.
• Invite Only services are also available, if you'd like clients to book this service when provided with a Booking Shortcut.
• Private services can be created if you don't want clients to book a service, but you want your staff to be able to schedule them.
Group Services may also be set up to create an appointment with multiple attendees, such as a class or seminar.
Instructions allow you to include any information for this service so that your customer may come in fully prepared to the appointment.
Descriptions allow you to give more information about the service, or describe the ideal situation in which a customer would want to book this appointment.
Only Administrator users will be able to add, edit or archive Services.
Go to the Services (1) menu, and click Add (2) to create a new a service, or More (3) to edit a service. You can also Archive (4) services.
You can also view Archived (5) services, and add or edit Categories (6).
In the Edit window, enter a service Name (1). A Slug (2) can be assigned, which will make your URLs human-readable.
Select a Duration (3), Flex Time (4), and Buffer (5) time if applicable.
Note: If you’re looking for different time increments, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for help.
Select your choice of Visibility (6) from the drop down list.
Select the Group Service (7) option if you are creating a service such as a class or a workshop, where your clients will be signing up to a set session. Available in Lobby (8) is only available if you have purchased Lobby Management. If the group service can happen at any time between the start and end of the appointment, select Staggered Start (9).
Don't cancel appointment if attendee(s) cancel (10) is typically used with group appointments. This option is available so if one attendee in the group appointment cancels, it does not cancel the whole appointment.
Choose whether the service will be Performed (11) at a location, virtually, or at a remote address which will be requested from the customer.
Change the Colour (12) of the service as it will appear on the Schedule View.
You can upload an Image (13) that will appear in your Client View in the list of services offered.
Add a Description (14) for your service, and any Instructions (15) you’d like your attendees to receive in their email notifications.
